ABOUT US

In 2009 my family and I ventured into the Jiu Jitsu event space and organized our first tournament NorCal Legacy held in Alameda, California. After great success we hosted our second tournament a few months later which was also met with tremendous results. Upon completing our second successful event I was confronted with the difficult choice to continue hosting and establish our tournaments or to focus on developing my skills as a competitor. After a long talk with my family, my team and my mentors we decided to put Legacy on hold.

In 2021 after I graduated college and completed a successful career as an adult competitor we decided to bring back our events as Legacy Jiu Jitsu Championship. It is our mission to provide the best experience possible for all competitors, staff and spectators. By competitors for competitors!

The next chapter begins! After our first tournament back we learned a lot about things that worked well and things we could improve on. Determined, always learning, always evolving, we plan to become a premier Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament.
